FAQ

Do I need a referral to see an exercise physiologist at Evolve Movement?

No referral is required for private or self-funded sessions — you can book directly online. If you want to claim a Medicare rebate under a Chronic Disease Management Plan (EPC), you'll need a referral from your GP. NDIS, DVA, and workers compensation clients need their relevant plan or claim approval instead of a GP referral.

Is exercise physiology covered by NDIS?

Yes. Exercise physiology is a fundable NDIS support, typically under Improved Daily Living or Capacity Building, depending on your plan and goals. We work with both plan-managed and self-managed NDIS participants, and can help confirm whether your plan covers our services before you book.

Can I claim exercise physiology through DVA or workers compensation?

Yes. We accept DVA Gold and White Card holders for exercise physiology services related to an accepted condition, and we work directly with workers compensation insurers and case managers as part of a documented return-to-work or rehabilitation program.

Do you offer Medicare-funded sessions?

Yes, through a GP-issued Chronic Disease Management Plan (formerly EPC), which provides a rebate for a limited number of allied health visits per calendar year. The current rebate is $61.80 per appointment.

What happens in a first appointment at Evolve Movement?

Your first session is a one-on-one assessment where we review your medical history, current condition, and goals, and begin building a personalised exercise program.
